Renier Kriel
Head of Corporate Venture Building at Specno

As a dedicated entrepreneur and seasoned digital services leader, Renier has devoted over 15 years to empowering startups and established organizations to reach their full potential by creating cutting-edge digital products and solutions.

At the youthful age of 24, he established a software agency in the vibrant town of Stellenbosch, South Africa. Through various stages of growth, the company expanded to employ over 50 skilled professionals across diverse fields. Following the sale of his business, he embraced the role of CEO at one of South Africa's premier early-stage incubators, mentoring and guiding over 20 startups during a two-year tenure.

Leveraging his firsthand experiences as an entrepreneur and startup mentor, Renier offers a distinctive viewpoint and an innate ability to help founders navigate their most critical obstacles. His core belief is that effective strategy must be simple and accessible, and his pragmatic approach to strategic planning is rooted in his personal understanding of the keys to success.

In tandem with his consulting endeavours, he is the proud founder and writer of The Open Letter, a weekly newsletter that delves into the innovation and groundbreaking ideas shaping the African landscape.

Louis Buys is a serial entrepreneur who, over the last 10 years, has founded and exited several startups. In 2015 he founded The Delta, a venture builder and ecosystem partner for startups and scaleups. Today, he leads The Delta’s international team of 250+ as CEO, advises startup teams on their growth strategies, and continues to build The Delta’s expansive network of founders, investors, and ecosystem partners.

David Campey
Founder afrolabs

David was a kid in the 80s, working on the internet in the 90s, pro dev in 00's, fell down the Lean-Agile rabbit hole in 2007 and still enjoying the fall! He has helped teams/orgs from 1 to 100 people in both start-up and corporates. David works on the software production value stream.
